Distance Learning Diploma in Medical Equipment Technologies

"This qualification meets a real need for a structured route to develop practical skills and theoretical knowledge, and I have already enrolled two of my trainees on to this course.”
EBME Manager, West Midlands, September 2014

This qualification is accredited by the Open College Network and is listed on the Qualification Credit Framework (QCF), harmonising with the Modernising of Scientific Careers framework which seeks to address the training and education needs of the whole healthcare workforce of the NHS.

Learning takes place predominantly in the workplace, mainly through the completion of workbooks, web-based activities and tests and via direct practice with supervision by the workplace mentor. Course materials, study support and resources are available online. This distance learning programme thus provides the flexibility for candidates who work full-time to study whilst minimising disruption to their setting/employer. Modules are taught sequentially rather than concurrently, obviating the need for students to complete and submit multiple assessments at any one time.
